Good food good service!

Staff was super friendly. Food was excellent, with healthy portions. I had a patty melt with sweet potato fries. Could only eat half of it. If I get back into the area, I will definitely try the deserts they had. My waitress explained to me what each of them were, and that was enough to make my mouth water.

If you're willing to go for a beautiful little Drive, to get off the beaten trail.....And have both your senses and your appetite content--- this is a wonderful little place to stop --- The inside has Western eclectic decor and delightful cleanliness to boot....And for those of you with a sweet tooth you can definitely get your fix here. ( the key lime pie : is truly refreshing)

Sorry no photos this time. This cafe was nice and the staff was nice. It was the better eating place in town. Stopped at Wild Bill's first and decided against staying. The interior of the Main Place cafe has been remodeled and is very new feeling inside. Every night the dining area in back is set up for fine dining. All tables are set with plates, silverware, napkins and goblets. We just had sandwiches as we were there at lunch. My husband said his burger was good and my bff had the club, which she could only eat half of. Both plates came with lots of fries. I had a Turkey sandwich and sweet potato fries. The fries were awesome, ate so many I couldn't finish my sandwich. They also have a daily home made soup and home made desserts. Wheelchair accessible but only parking on the street. If you're ever in Halfway give this place a try and if you want to stay the night there's also a motel above the restaurant.

Very average food in a good way. There wasn't anything special about it, and that's fine. Our service was great, and it was nice to be outside. There really isn't much else to say, except I would definitely go back here if I was hungry in Halfway.

Good and bad both, good milkshakes and cinnamon rolls!! Terrible french dip, not once, but twice! .even after checking with the waitress on the freshness of the meat! My dog wouldn't eat it.

The food was okay. The burger was over cooked and not seasoned. The best part was the peanut butter cheesecake.

Great little restaurant and bar, serving delicious food. Fun entrees on the menu like a kosher bagel and lox plate that is simple but so satisfying. Husband can't get past the porterhouse ... all in all well worth checking out. And you'll return. Update: you like apple pie? Then go check it out. Picture worthy deliciousness to the last crumb.

This spot is my favorite. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very amicable and the cuisine they place on your table is so yummy. I would always prefer to have a good meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Just got fries. They were sweet potato and they were over cooked tasted burnt 😣. My friend who recommended then her bun and burger were over cooked also. Hope they were just having as bad day

Great place to eat, with a complete menu, daily specials and great service. We did a Rod-Run to Baker City and stopped in Halfway for lunch with 7-people, and are planning to be there in 2020 with a larger crowd as we feel that "The Main Place Cafe & Grill" is an integral part of the day for our group now.

Food here better than average but wait time wasnt worth it. Good milkshakes.

Surprising little gem in NE Oregon. Food was very good and portions large. Friendly wait staff. The desserts are fabulous. The peach cake and raspberry lemon cake are to die for. Too hard to choose!
